Mission Agencies
Our support for mission towards the rest of Britain and the World is coordinated through our Mission Support Group, currently chaired by Chris Davis. It is expressed through…
Oxygen: Established in 2001, Oxygen seeks to reach the young people of the borough of Kingston with God’s love. Christ Church played a central role in the establishment of Oxygen in 2001 and it is supported by most of the churches in the local area.
Careforce: Directed by Ian Prior who is honorary curate at Christ Church, Careforce sends around 80 volunteers each year to work in churches and church projects across the United Kingdom. Our Vicar, Stephen Kuhrt was a Careforce volunteer back in 1988.
COME UK: is the UK branch of a Ugandan charity working in Gulu, Northern Uganda. Dick Waller, a regular member of Christ Church is Chairman of COME (UK) and for many years has used his engineering experience in water management to improve supply around Gulu and practical outreach to the area.
Tear Fund: For many years, a number of our congregation - Mike Duckering and Nigel Timmins currently - have worked for Tear Fund, whose head office is just a few miles away.
Christian Aid: Christ Church is a strong supporter of Christian Aid and its current organiser of our Christian Aid Week Collection is Becky Mills.
