Children's Groups

Community @ Christ Church:
Children's Groups

Quality work among our children and young people is a top priority at Christ Church.

The following groups meet every week during the 9.30 service at Christ Church.

Tiddlywinks looks after our two years old seeking to teach them about God and his love for them through simple (and often messy) craft and painting activities. It is led by Rachel von Rietberg.

Scramblers looks after our children between 3 and 5 teaching them more about Jesus and following God through stories, drama, singing and craft. It is led by Ros Sainsbury.

Climbers looks after our children between 5 and 7 continuing to teach them more about Jesus and following God through stories, drama, singing and craft. It is led by Chris and Valerie Davis.

The following groups meet every week during the 9.30 service at Christ Church other than the first Sunday of the month when they stay in for a ‘Seven Up’ service. This is a service for adults and children from age seven upwards to enjoy together.

Explorers looks after our children between 7 and 11 looking to teach them more about Jesus and following God through games, quizzes, discussion and drama. It is led by Katie Kuhrt.

Encounter looks after our young people between 11 and 14. It seeks to help our young people to think through their response to God and Jesus Christ through games and discussion. It is led by our Youth Worker, Nathan Larkin.

The following groups meet later during the day on Sunday.

SPLAT looks after our young people between 14 and 15 seeking to help them think through their response to God and Jesus Christ through sharing food and discussion together. It meets at the home of its leaders, Paul and Camilla Pearse at 5.30 pm on a Sunday afternoon and afterwards its members tend to come down to the six30@ccnm service.

CYFA is the group that has looked after our young people between 15 and 18. A new look group to replace this is being launched in January.
